. Grants for Italian Programs
IACE, under the supervision of the Consulate General of Italy in New York, provides incentive grants for Italian language instruction. Public and private schools in the consular jurisdiction of New York, New Jersey*, and Connecticut may apply for a grant to be used towards their Italian curricular courses (The option to apply solely for educational materials or to apply for extracurricular programs is no longer available).
The grant program has been suspended for the 2024-25 school year and is currently under review by the Italian Government for the 2025-26 school year.
September
Schools can apply for grants by filling out the Application form available only online.
Fall
The grant proposal undergoes review by IACE Board of Directors, Consulate General of Italy in New York, the Embassy of Italy in Washington DC and the Italian Ministry of Foreign Affairs.
Winter
Deadline to submit the IACE institutional member by paying the $150 annual fee.
By July
IACE will reimburse all schools for the amount awarded via wire transfer.

The Counties of
Atlantic – Burlington – Camden – Cape May – Cumberland – Gloucester – Ocean – Salem
in New Jersey fall under the jurisdiction of the Consulate General of Italy in Philadelphia, therefore schools located in these counties cannot apply for a IACE grant; for grant opportunities in these counties please contact the School Office in Philadelphia
