With our help you can give your school the chance to  start or sustain

the Italian program.


IACE, under the supervision of the Consulate General of Italy in New York, provides incentive grants for Italian language instruction. Any public or private schools in the consular jurisdiction of New York, New Jersey and Connecticut may apply for a grant for the teacher’s salary and/or the educational material to be used towards their Italian curricular courses. Grant application process:


March 15 – April 30, 2018

Please complete the EDUCATIONAL MATERIAL APPLICATION ONLINE FOR(for grants up to $3,000) and/or the TEACHER SALARY APPLICATION ONLINE FORM (for grants up to $8,000)

Applicants will be asked to register. IACE will automatically receive the application once the form is submitted.

May 2018

The grant proposal undergoes review by IACE Board of Directors.

June 2018

The Contact Person will receive notification of the award/rejection via email.

September 20, 2018

Deadline to submit the acceptance documents. *Please note that at this time your school is required to become a IACE institutional member by paying the $100 annual membership.

October 15, 2018

Deadline to submit a copy of the invoice and proof of payment (if school received a grant for the purchase of educational material).

December 31, 2018

IACE will reimburse schools for the amount awarded for Educational material.

July 15, 2019

Deadline to submit the payroll printout of the teacher salary and payroll documentation form (if school received a grant for teacher salary).

December 31, 2019IACE will reimburse schools for the amount awarded for teacher salary.
