Students enrolling in Advanced classes can already understand a wide range of demanding, longer texts, and recognize implicit meaning. They can express themselves fluently and spontaneously without much obvious searching for expressions, and use language flexibly and effectively.
Advanced classes aim to deepen and refine such abilities: students will learn how to keep up with animated discussions on abstract and complex topics with several speakers, exchanging complex, detailed information on topics with which they are not personally familiar. They will be able to summarize orally long texts, putting together information from different sources and relate it in a coherent summary, in an appropriate style with good grammatical control, while conveying feelings and reactions in depth.
