This conversation class is for students who want to use and improve their speaking and listening skills and improve their vocabulary. The teacher will hand out materials during each class.
Recommended for students who are attending levels Elementary 2 to Lower Intermediate 2, or students of higher levels who need to practice spoken Italian.
Goals of the class: understand and use familiar everyday expressions and basic phrases aimed at the satisfaction of needs of a concrete type. When listening to a conversation, students can understand words and short sentences, provided that people speak slowly and clearly.
TEACHING METHOD
IACE’s classes are modeled on the communicative approach, a learner-centered method which aims at giving students the skills to be able to communicate under various circumstances. Grammar elements are analyzed with an inductive method, which allows students to learn by grasping concepts through a bottom-up process.
